Ingredient notes: Caperberries

Caperberries / Kapern / Capperi

Caperberries are the berries that grow on the caper plant. They are common in Mediterranean areas and are sometimes used in place of olives in recipes. They are usually brined, and resemble the size of a grape. They are not to be substituted for capers as they have a much milder flavour. Copy & paste this link for a great recipe using caperberries http://www.maggiebeer.com.au/recipes/details/?Item=ArtclsChookLeg51 . You can also find the Maggie Beer Vinocotto and green olives here at Caesars!
