Ingredient notes: Taleggio cheese

Focaccia con taleggio e rosmarino

One of THE most fabulous soft Italian cheeses you will ever taste. So delicious cubed and melted into soft polenta, or just to eat on a cheese platter. Another great Jamie Oliver recipe uses Taleggio in potato & leek soup. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/jamie-at-telegraph/6501230/Jamie-Oliver-recipe-Leek-and-potato-soup-with-taleggio.html

Available at Caesars: olive oil, chicken stock, taleggio, sea salt & ciabatta. Also fantastic used in any recipe requiring cheese for melting, such as risotto, pizza, focaccia (pictured)

Ingredient notes: Polenta

It's starting to be perfect weather for polenta, one of my favourites! A typically Northern Italian cornmeal used as a carbohydrate base for meals, especially roasts and slow cooked meat dishes with lots of pan juices. Try this Jamie Oliver recipe http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/meat-recipes/incredible-game-birds-with-polenta . You can find the polenta, spatchcock, quail, grated parmesan, good quality olive oil & seasalt in store.

Ingredient notes: Caperberries

Caperberries / Kapern / Capperi

Caperberries are the berries that grow on the caper plant. They are common in Mediterranean areas and are sometimes used in place of olives in recipes. They are usually brined, and resemble the size of a grape. They are not to be substituted for capers as they have a much milder flavour. Copy & paste this link for a great recipe using caperberries http://www.maggiebeer.com.au/recipes/details/?Item=ArtclsChookLeg51 . You can also find the Maggie Beer Vinocotto and green olives here at Caesars!

Blooker Dutch Cocoa Powder

cocoa powder
Originally uploaded by cannelle-vanille

Blooker Cacao, fine Dutch Cocoa powder, developed with a lower acidity to make it more soluble, which is a neccessary quality for the chef or home cook. 'Dutched' cocoa has a milder flavour than unprocessed cocoa powder, with a darker appearance. Always be sure to use the required cocoa in your recipe, as the end result may be extremely different, and your wonderful creation may not be successful. This is because of the lack of acidity in the 'Dutched' cocoa, so be sure that you don't substitute for it if you don't have any at the time. Dutch cocoa is used in many chocolate desserts, cakes, slices and hot chocolate drinks. Sold here at Caesars Coffee and Fine Food or online www.caesarscoffee.com.au/grmtunperishable.htm
